Workership Applications are due by: November 1, 2023

Please submit one application per student. Please be sure that you have reviewed, completed, and signed the 2024 Workership Program Requirements & Expectations, and a current job description for each position. Both documents will need to be uploaded below. We will use the address, phone number, and contact person listed below, unless otherwise indicated, in all public advertisements of the position and for future correspondence. If you are a first-time applicant - Please attach a copy of your 501c3 certification.

2024 INTERNSHIP POSITION: A current Job Description will be required for each requested Workership position.

Please follow the guidelines listed in the attached Job Description Template. All information is required.

Internship Job Title

Indicate Tier Funding

Tier One: Intern to complete 350 hours @ NYS minimum wage + allotment for Employer taxes = (total grant TBD)

Tier Two: Intern to complete 300 hours @ NYS minimum wage + allotment for Employer taxes = (total grant TBD)

Tier Three: Intern to complete 250 hours @ NYS minimum wage + allotment for Employer taxes = (total grant TBD)

Failure to meet the hour requirements may require a return of funding and/or automatic placement in a lesser tier in subsequent years. Grant totals will be released once NYS has determined the 2024 minimum wage rate. One application is needed for each internship position. If you wish to hire more than one student for this position, please fill out a second application. This grant must be allocated in two parts, as described in each Tier above. Any wages paid per hour above the minimum wage requirements of this grant will be paid by your agency. Students must complete all of the hours determined by their Tier, and their hours may not be manipulated to cover any additional agency taxes or costs.

Late Applications will not be considered. Grigg Lewis Foundation reserves the right to accept or reject any or all applications. Your application will be reviewed at our December Board of Directors meeting. We will notify you of the status of your application by December 15, 2023, and then you may begin advertising. Grigg Lewis will take no part in the hiring, paying, or supervision of these students but may contact the student and/or the supervisor during the course of employment or afterward in order to monitor and evaluate the program.
