Lockport Family Focus Group’s 6th Annual Backpack Distribution serves 220 Lockport City School aged children in 2018

The Lockport Family Focus Group came together once again to provide backpacks, books, and personal care items to local students in need.  As a part of their 6th annual Backpack and School Supply Drive, the focus group received widespread help from local businesses, individuals, and service agencies to provide each child with the tools they need to begin a successful school year.

A special thank you to the following local businesses and groups:

Dr. Surace and Dr. Retell – provided free toothbrushes, toothpaste and floss for every child.
Capelli Salon & Pagan’s Barbershop – collectively provided vouchers for 60 free haircuts.
The Lockport Lions Club – provided free eye assessments for every child.
The Lockport Public Library – provided a free, age-appropriate book for each child.
The Dale Association Knitters Guild and other local knitters – provided free hats, mittens & scarves for each child.
Prayer Room Ministries – provided new socks to many of the students.

The Lockport Family Focus Group would like to thank everyone who donated, participated, and made a difference in the lives of so many children this year, including the many agency representatives, students and parents who donated their time and energy as volunteers.
